(#3) Awakening to a higher consciousness

To be “conscious” is to be self-aware.  As we go through life – exercising our free will to experiencing this, that and the other – our level of consciousness grows, the frequency at which we vibrate increases.  We start to “awaken”, we start to wonder and those courageous enough will start to earnestly ask: “who am I really, where do I come from, what happens when I die?”  Prior to this “awakening”, we are a bit like fish in a pond.  Fish don’t think about being in the water, they just are.  You do not think about the field of consciousness that you are in, you are just in it and you go about your life much along the lines of “the norm”- how you were brought up, your belief systems and as society demands of you.  The media reflects aspects of it – various parts of life reflects aspects of it.  But people as a whole, as a collective (call it collective consciousness), don’t really think about it (this “norm”- this “field of consciousness”).

So what we see currently happening in the collective field is that much of the unworked stuff that is collectively that of humankind’s journey, which has been by degrees supressed, or not dealt with overtly, or only indirectly ever hinted at, is coming to the fore.  Part of the unease that people are feeling is that most everywhere, all of those good yesterdays, which was so like each other, are over.  And every tomorrow seems to bring yet more challenges.  This is not necessarily a bad thing – it is, however, a necessary thing and it is a collective that is awakening in a natural flow.  Think of it as a great vast collective boil being lanced.  The blade might be frightening and the cut might hurt, but when the poison is out it is a far better thing that emerges.

There is a purpose to all things.  Being misdirected teaches you in the end that you are misdirected – it is not a waste.  No tear shed, no blood spilt, no pain incurred ever, ever is wasted.  It may not be necessary (as we are witnessing in the world today), but once it has taken place, it is never wasted.  It will, in the end, serve you.

Everyone will wake up sooner or later, and when enough of humankind has done so, the collective field will be experienced differently – because the collective energy field will now be of a particular vibration.  Those that are stuck in the old way of being and have not evolved sufficiently in consciousness, they will have trouble keeping body and soul together.  Life will present them with many challenges and if they cannot maintain that (being of a particular energy field or vibration), suffice it to say that they will be given further opportunity elsewhere – in an environment that will allow them the opportunity to express at the level that matches the frequency at which they vibrate (“In my Father’s house are many mansions…”).

We have to be scientists of the Self – it is the only way to make progress. Every sacred text asks of us to: “know thyself”.  Every scripture, essentially, should be viewed as a history lesson in the awakening of human souls:  at one time we understood that way – now we understand this way, and what comes next?  When you start to get this picture, when you realise that consciousness evolves just like physical bodies evolve, this leads to potential.

Become then a scientist of the Self, awaken and start to experience the fullness of yourself.
